Lifeguard certification in Georgetown
American Red Cross lifeguard classes meet in Georgetown. Pools, camps, and waterfronts can also host a private class. Group lifeguard training starts at $1,300.
Posted classes
Full American Red Cross Lifeguarding is for water deeper than chest height. Shallow Water Lifeguarding is the separate course when the water stays shallow. Both are in person at the Georgetown classroom, so there is no travel fee when you come to class.
If you already hold a current deep-water card, use Lifeguarding Recertification. Teaching lifeguarding requires a current lifeguard card first, then the Lifeguard Instructor course. Water Safety Instructor is the separate path for teaching swim lessons.
Pools and camps
Schedule lifeguard and Water Safety Instructor groups before summer. January through April is when pools, camps, apartments, and HOAs lock staff training. On-site group classes are free to bring to you inside the travel radius from Georgetown. Past that radius, one flat fee is added to the group, not charged per person.
Water Safety Instructor groups start at $1,200.
