Privacy Policy

Effective Date: 10/18/2026

We at Safety First Training are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your personal information. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard the information you provide when interacting with our website, booking a class, or completing a purchase. Our site uses cookies and similar technologies, and we rely on several trusted third-party services to process payments, deliver emails, send text reminders, and calculate travel fees. By using our website or booking with us, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy.

Information We Collect

When you book a class, use our site, make a purchase, or sign up for reminders, we may collect the following types of personal information:

  • Contact Information: Your name, email address, and phone number.
  • Booking Details: The course you select, number of attendees, selected date, location, add-ons, and any notes you provide.
  • Certification Records: After a class, the course name, expiration date, instructor, and a verification code. If we already have an older record for you, we may email you once to confirm your contact details and ask whether you want renewal reminders.
  • Payment Information: When you book a class, your card is processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your full card number on our servers; Stripe handles payment authorization and capture.
  • Location Information: For on-site group classes, we use the class address you provide to calculate travel distance and any applicable travel fee using Google Maps.
  • Communications Preferences: If you opt in, we use your phone number to send text message reminders about your upcoming class. We may also text a number you provide for certification renewal reminders and class updates. Reply STOP to opt out of texts.
  • Technical Information: We automatically collect certain technical information when you visit our website, such as your IP address, device type, browser type, and pages visited, to keep the site secure and functioning properly. We may use the same network address to notice that a phone and a computer on that network both looked at the site. We do not use this to advertise to you on other websites.
  • How You Found Us: If you choose to tell us at checkout how you heard about Safety First Training, we store that answer with your booking. We also record the website that sent you here (for example Google or Facebook) as a hostname only.
  • Optional Class Details: If you choose to tell us why you need a card, how many people you have in mind, a ZIP code, or a workplace name, we store that so we can tell the difference between people who browse and people who book. Class Finder answers are stored the same way.

How We Use Your Information

We may use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Booking & Class Scheduling: To process your class registration, confirm your seat, and coordinate your training session.
  • Payment Processing: To authorize your deposit or full payment and capture the balance after your booking is confirmed, using Stripe.
  • Travel Fee Calculation: To calculate any travel fee for on-site group classes based on the distance from our base location to your class address, using Google Maps.
  • Email Communication: To send you booking confirmations, receipts, and important updates about your class, using our email delivery service. If you start checkout and do not finish, we may email you once with a link to complete that booking. We do not send that follow-up if you later booked the class. The invitation to update an older certification record includes a small image on our site. If your mail program loads that image, we record that the invitation was opened. Other emails do not include that image.
  • Text Messages: If you opt in, to send a reminder before your scheduled class. We also use a number you provide to send certification renewal reminders and, when staff need to reach a class, operational updates. Replies are delivered to our staff so we can respond.
  • Communication: To respond to your inquiries, comments, or requests and provide you with information about your booking.
  • Site Improvement: To analyze how our website is used so we can improve its content, functionality, and performance, including which classes people look at and whether they finish booking.

Disclosure of Your Information

We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes without your consent. However, we may disclose your information in the following circumstances:

  • Service Providers: We share your information with the third-party services described in the "Third-Party Services We Use" section below to process payments, deliver emails, send text reminders, calculate travel fees, measure site traffic, sign group contracts, and sign you in if you choose Google.
  • Certification Checks: Someone who has your verification code can see the student name, course, instructor, location, and whether the certification is current. The check does not show payment details or the card file.
  • Group Rosters: A group organizer who has the roster link for their class can see the names and email addresses of people signed up for that class.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with legal obligations, protect our rights or property, or ensure the safety of our users.
  • Merger or Acquisition: In the event that Safety First Training is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, your personal information may be transferred as part of the transaction.

Third-Party Services We Use

To operate our website and process bookings, we rely on the following trusted third-party services. Each service has its own privacy policy, and we encourage you to review them:

  • Stripe: Processes your payment, including deposit authorization and balance capture. Your card details are handled directly by Stripe and are not stored on our servers. Stripe's Privacy Policy.
  • Google Maps: Used to calculate the distance between our base location and your on-site class address so we can determine any travel fee. Google may receive the address you enter. Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Resend: Our email delivery provider that sends booking confirmations, receipts, and transactional emails from info@safetyfirsttraining.org. Resend's Privacy Policy.
  • TextLink: Our SMS service provider for class reminders you opt into, certification renewal reminders, and class updates. Standard message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message.
  • Google Analytics: Measures which pages are visited. Google receives the page address, page title, and the site that sent you. Private links, including booking, certificate, and review links, are removed before that information is sent. We do not use it to advertise to you on other websites. Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Google Sign-In: If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive the name and email address Google shares for that sign-in. We do not receive your contacts, friends, or other Google accounts.
  • Bolo Sign: Sends and collects signatures on contracts for some group classes. Bolo Sign receives the name and email address the contract is sent to.
  • Base44: Our website hosting and application platform, which stores your booking records and the first-party visit log. Base44's Privacy Policy.

Cookies & Similar Technologies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working and to understand which pages people visit. A first-party cookie on this domain recognizes the same browser during a visit so we can tell which class pages were viewed and whether checkout was started. It is not a Facebook, Instagram, or advertising cookie. Google Analytics sets its own cookies for the page measurement described above. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not use a social-network login to read your friends, followers, or other accounts. You can block cookies in your browser. The site still works, and it may not remember that visit.

Data Security

We take the security of your information seriously and have implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or destruction.

Your Rights

You have certain rights regarding your personal information, including:

  • Access: You can request access to the personal information we hold about you and information about how we process it.
  • Correction: You can request corrections to any inaccurate or incomplete personal information we have about you.
  • Email Opt-Out: Messages about a class date you asked to hear about include an unsubscribe link. Booking confirmations, receipts, certification notices, and reminders about a class you booked do not, because they are about that booking. You can ask us to stop reminder emails by contacting us.
  • Text Opt-Out: You can opt out of texts at any time by replying STOP to any message or by contacting us. Reply START to opt back in.
  • Cookies: You can manage your cookie preferences through your web browser settings and disable non-essential cookies at any time.

Children's Privacy

Our website and emails are not intended for individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information without parental consent, please contact us to have the information removed.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page, and the effective date will be updated accordingly. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
